Shed Manual

 

Before logging in to the shed manuals, you need to read the following Very Important Tips which will help you erect a sensational new shed.

  1. As soon as your materials are delivered, check you have all of your materials as
    per the bill of materials supplied by ShedCo.
  2. Download erect manual an read thoroughly several times.
  3. Ensure you have all the tools you require before you start erecting.
  4. Make sure you have a mate to give you a hand and they also read instructions.
  5. Make sure you have your hold down bolt set out from ShedCo.

Tools Required

  1. Extension and step ladder
  2. Extension leads
  3. Reversible drill
  4. Spirit level
  5. Tape Measure (big enough for your job)
  6. Hammer Drill
  7. Drill bits for concrete (eg. 12mm or 16mm depending on hold down bolts)
  8. Good rope and star pickets to help brace frame
  9. Tin snips (left and right handed)
  10. Nibbler or shears to cut openings
  11. Spanners and general hand tools
  12. Wood saw
  13. One piece 4" x 2" timber at about 300mm long (for damming sheets)
  14. Teck screw adapters and drill bits to suit hardware
  15. Pop rivet gun
  16. Silicon and silicon gun
  17. Set square
  18. Builders pencil

Do It Yourself - Slabs

Materials

  1. Concrete.
  2. Mesh whatever recommended (eg. F62)
  3. Plastic for under slab.
  4. Mesh stools to hold mesh at correct height.
  5. Water available on site.

Tools

  1. Formwork - Can be purchased from ShedCo.
  2. Trowel's for finishing and edging.
  3. Helicopter - Hire from local hire agent.
  4. Bull float - Hire from local hire agent.
  5. Mud Barrow- Hire from local hire agent.
  6. Sting lines to set out slab.
  7. Steel pegs to hold up sting lines and form boards.
  8. Levelling pegs for setting height of concrete in middle of slab.
  9. Shovels to help spread concrete.
  10. Screeding board to held float of concrete.
  11. Compactor - Hire from local hire agent.

Set-up

  1. Level to help get site correct (dumpy or laser - from local hire)
  2. Compact if site is new fill or loose soil.
  3. Set out string lines to slab size(check diagonal to make sure they are the same)
  4. Mark out and dig footing holes.
  5. Set up form work making sure it is straight, level and its internal size is as per
    your plan.
